ABOUT

Fabrizio D'Aloisio is a Swiss-Italian photographer and author based in St. Moritz, Switzerland. He has worked as creative director and head of PR for the alpine resort. During his 13 years in the service of St. Moritz, he has positioned the town as an automotive destination, revived the town's old poster tradition with numerous new works, and contributed to the revitalisation of the town's overall image.

His iconic automotive photos, often the result of film-like productions, hang on the walls of collectors and photography lovers around the world. His mentors included the legendary Monty Shadow, and he counts photographers such as Peter Vann and Peter Knapp as friends and sources of inspiration. Fabrizio has been a columnist for the Swiss mountain bike magazine Ride for many years, for which he writes the popular "Chicken Lines" column.

He grew up in Klosters (Switzerland), where he came into contact with actors, writers, photographers and other creative people; his mother was housekeeper and cook for the American writer Irwin Shaw. Fabrizio can claim to have been in the arms of Greta Garbo (when he could barely walk). This early eye for the timeless aesthetics and somewhat hedonistic culture of the last century later became his inspiration as a photographer and author.

He has published two books: Car Guys – The Culture of Owning a Classic Car (2020) was sold in over 40 countries in its first year, it achieved critical acclaim and was described as an «instant classic». Klosters (2022 and 2023) is a snapshot retrospective of that microcosm of personalities that made the Swiss mountain village an extraordinary place for over two decades. Other book projects are underway.
